Waste Diversion from Landfill

Site Manager Aled Gundy at our Eureka project championed this effort to divert over 10 tonnes of materials from landfill by reaching out to AJ Magnay from Lismore.  AJ came out to site free of charge and retrieved the removed timber and FF&E to take back to his salvage yard in Lismore.  AJ has been donating materials to flood affected residents and repurposing materials at his massive salvage yard.  It’s a win win win. For the clients (less waste removal costs), AJ Magnay’s and Lismore (free or low cost reusable materials) and the planet thanks us too for reducing the production of new materials from natural resources.  This is who we are at Verdecon, conscious efforts wherever possible.
